Samara
Samara is Lead Officer and a Director of Earthtime with responsibility for oversight of day to day operations and strategic planning. Samara studied law at the University of Edinburgh and worked as an in-house lawyer in the financial services and telecoms sectors. Following relocation to Moray in 2008, Samara earned a Masters Degree in Managing Sustainable Rural Development and took on a number of volunteer roles. Before joining Earthtime as Lead Officer, Samara chaired Moray‘s Child Protection and Adult Protection Committees, working alongside the local authority, police, health and social care and other third sector organisations. While working as a lawyer, Samara chaired the Scottish Young Lawyers Association and was a regular contributor to The Scotsman newspaper as a columnist.
