Clothes Swishes (swaps)

Tuesday Clothes Swishes

We’ve started having a Clothes Swish every Tuesday at Earthtime’s West Lodge in Cooper Park (next to Elgin Library) from 10-4 We’ll also put out clothes for swishing outside our West Lodge office on other weekdays weather permitting.

Bring along some items your good quality clothes (adult or children) that you or your family have grown out of or just don’t wear, and swap them for some ‘new to you’ items.

Please note that this is a rolling clothes swish or swap, so the idea is that you take away some good quality new-to-you clothes as well as dropping off good quality clothes for swapping. We don’t wan’t people to just drop off clothes as we don’t have the room to store them. Thank you!

A free drop in event – donations to Earthtime always welcome!

Clothes swapping is a wonderful way to keep clothes (and toys, games and other items) in active use for longer, which helps to reduce the negative environmental impacts.

We host regular swishes in Moray to encourage people to swap clothes and items that they no longer use for ones that they do.

Take a look at our dedicated swishing page for more information about why swishing helps and how you can get involved.

Would you like to hold a swish in your community? amongst a group of your friends and/or family? with a club you belong to?  Please get in touch!   We can help you organise it and provide you with leaflets and information about why it’s such a great thing to do! Email us at
