Adults and children are encouraged to explore together through fun activities which foster an awareness of nature and the environment. Often based on a nature theme such as an animal, insect, plant etc. or focusing on the season or a specific event the sessions usually include a nature craft, games or stories and trails through the woods, which help develop self-confidence, physical movement, peer relationships and much more!
A drink and healthy snack are provided at the end of the session
What about the weather?
Earthtime sessions take place throughout the year, even in the rain and snow. The only times we would consider cancelling a session would be in high winds, which can cause a risk to Health and Safety. Please come dressed appropriately for the conditions on the day. We do have a supply of welly boots and wet weather outer clothing if you would like to borrow them, but please get in touch prior to the session (there is no charge for the loan of these items.
How much does it cost?
Suggested contribution £5 per family and we operate a ‘honesty’ payment system, (a money box will be available for you to pop your contribution into) the suggested contribution (this helps cover costs of the sessions e.g. snacks, materials used in sessions etc.) but as Earthtime would like EVERYONE to have the chance of coming to our sessions, we do not want money to be a barrier so please come along, have fun and pay what/if you can!
In order for us to plan our sessions effectively it is beneficial for us to know how many children and adults will be attending so booking is advisable. However, we always try to accommodate extra people on the day. Younger siblings in buggies and carriers are very welcome.
