Aimed at: 9-14 year olds
Takes place: In woods just outside of Elgin
Length of activity: 2 hours
This is a new group being developed by staff and volunteer team for older children in the 9 – 14 age range. This group will provide young people the opportunity to develop outdoor skills further by teaching them bushcraft and ‘survival’ skills which will lead to greater self- esteem and confidence and develop peer support and socialisation. The opportunity to spend time outdoors, to reflect, to play – be children!
It is envisaged that this will take place in a woodland we have the use of just outside Elgin where a base can be set up. Sessions would be weekly and run for two hours. Please get in touch if you would like more information!
What about the weather?
Earthtime sessions take place throughout the year, even in the rain and snow. The only times we would consider cancelling a session would be in high winds, which can cause a risk to Health and Safety. Please come dressed appropriately for the conditions on the day.
In order for us to plan our sessions effectively it is beneficial for us to know how many children and adults will be attending so booking is advisable. However, we always try to accommodate extra people on the day. Younger siblings in buggies and carriers are very welcome.
